The Liebert VIC liquid cooling solution is specially designed for high-heat servers in data centers. It uses insulating coolant as the carrier refrigerant to directly cool the servers. There are three types of air cooling, water cooling and chilled water. VIC adopts the submerged liquid cooling scheme, which can greatly reduce the energy consumption of the data center, and can realize the pPUE of the unit to be less than 1.04.
Liebert VIC is an immersion liquid cooling product specially developed for high heat density application scenarios. The system is mainly composed of a Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU), Server Tanks, and Connecting Pipes. The CDU has a built-in heat exchanger and pump setup. An external evaporating cooling tower cools the coolant and fed into the tanks where serves are immersed. After the heat exchange in racks filled tanks, coolant is brought into heat exchanger in CDU with the help of pump set-up; and the cycle goes on. Liebert VIC has a variety of specifications. The liquid-cooled cabinet has two specifications of 42U and 52U. The distribution unit CDU can support 1 to 4 tanks of 42U or 52U to meet the application requirements of different high heat density scenarios.
